Our Projects & Partnerships
Some recent projects

CHMP (East Geelong)
Victorian Fisheries Authority
For this project, we were responsible for developing a CHMP on behalf of Victorian Fisheries Authority located in a culturally significant area at Limeburners Point in East Geelong, which contains a highly sensitive registered Aboriginal Place. Our team consulted with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation (WTOAC) to conduct a thorough assessment, including background research, field survey and archaeological excavations, in order to identify and assess Aboriginal cultural heritage places. We collaborated closely with the client and stakeholders to develop appropriate mitigation measures and management conditions. The CHMP was delivered on time and to budget and was approved by the relevant authority, the WTOAC, ensuring the protection and preservation of cultural heritage during the project.

Archaeological salvage (Cape Conran)
Parks Victoria
Our team was contracted to undertake an archaeological salvage of a large shell midden with significant Aboriginal cultural heritage values at the Salmon Rocks Boat Ramp in Cape Conran for Parks Victoria. This involved coordinating and conducting excavations in collaboration with the seven Traditional Owner group representatives who have asserted an interest in the area. We documented the excavation results, prepared detailed artefact analyses, and updated site registrations accordingly. The findings were presented in a comprehensive report and discussed in post-assessment meetings with the Traditional Owner groups and project stakeholders. Additionally, we provided support to Parks Victoria in fulfilling their other management conditions, including cultural heritage induction and inspections.

CHMP (Northcote)
City of Darebin
We were engaged to prepare a CHMP by the City of Darebin for a proposed infrastructure development in Northcote. Our team conducted extensive research, reviewed existing documentation, and liaised with the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung cultural heritage Aboriginal Corporation (WWWCHAC) to gather valuable insights. We employed a combination of field surveys, archaeological excavations, and desktop assessments to evaluate the potential impact on Aboriginal cultural heritage. The findings were compiled into a detailed report, providing recommendations for cultural heritage management throughout the project lifecycle.
